Our Staff
Christina Adamski, MA, LLP
Christina is a limited licensed psychologist. She graduated from Western Michigan University with her bachelors in psychology and her masters in counseling psychology. Her masters level internship was on the Adolescent Inpatient and Partial Hospitalization Unit at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. Christina started her career at Allegan County Community Mental Health working with children and teens and their families in home based counseling and outpatient counseling. After almost 5 years there, she began working at Bethany Christian Services in outpatient counseling with children, teens, families, and adults. Christina held multiple positions at Bethany including outpatient counselor, post adoption program coordinator, post adoption counseling supervisor, and trauma narrative writer. After more than 10 years at Bethany, Christina worked at Holland Christian Middle School as the school counselor to cover a medical leave for a staff member.
Christina has over 20 years of experience as a counselor and therapist with individual, groups, and families, as well as psychoeducational groups, testing, and case management. Through these different types of therapies, she has worked with issues such as suicidal thoughts, abuse and neglect, foster care and adoption issues, trauma, family issues, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, self-esteem, relationship issues, school issues, eating disorders, and anger management. Christina is trained in the ADOPTS model (trauma based therapy for adoption and foster children) and is certified in TBRI (Trust Based Relational Therapy). Christina has provided counseling services for people of all ages, but specializes with children, teens, young adults, and their families.
As a limited licensed psychologist (LLP), the state of Michigan requires supervision under a fully licensed psychologist. To fulfill those requirements, Christina is supervised by Ed Swart Ph.D.
